Tribal Council & Staff

The Sun’aq Tribe of Kodiak (STK) is governed by a member-elected Tribal Council who upholds the Tribal constitution and bylaws, and directs a Chief Executive Officer to implement projects and programs according to an approved strategic plan.

STK’s governing body currently consists of seven elected officials: one Chair, one Vice-Chair, one Secretary-Treasurer, and four Council members. Each Council member is elected into three-year terms by STK eligible voters (18 or older).

The Sun’aq Tribal Council monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of every other month in the upstairs conference room of the Sun’aq Tribal Hall. The meetings are open to the public and start at 5:15 PM. Call to confirm meeting dates and times and agendas (907) 531-5009
