Position: 477 Program Director (Open until filled)
Department: Employment & Training
Hours: 37.5/Full Time
Salary Level: $30-36 hourly
Supervision by: Tribal Administrator
Summary
Planning, implementation, development and delivery of services assigned to the Employment & Training Department including P.L. 102-477 integrated programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement program policies and procedures in compliance with Tribal, state, and federal laws and regulations for all programs.
Manage the day-to-day operations of all programs, including scheduling, curriculum development, and staff management.
Ensure that all programs meet all requirements for PL 102-477 funding.
Hire, train, and supervise all program staff, including caseworkers, assistants, and administrative staff.
Provide regular supervision and coaching to program staff, and ensure that all staff are performing their duties effectively.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are in compliance with applicable regulations and funding requirements.
Oversee the Alutiingcut Childcare Center and its operations, working closely with the Alutiingcut Childcare Center Administrator
Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and that all program reports are submitted on time.
Periodically manage grants for specific projects, ensuring that all grant requirements are met, reports are submitted on time, and all grant funding is spent in compliance with grant regulations.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted in the event that a qualified candidate does not hold a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with program management, budgeting, grant management, and supervisory history is essential.
General Requirements
Experience in a cross-culture setting.
Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
Must possess an Alaska state driver’s license.
Must agree to sign client confidentiality contract upon hires.
Must pass a criminal background check.
