Resolution Passed Opposing the Validity of the Federal List of Recognized Tribes

On November 23, 1993, The Kodiak Tribal Council passed a resolution authorizing the Tribal Council president to pursue a review of the Secretary of the Interior's decision to exclude Shoonaq' Tribe of Kodiak from the 1993 list of federally recognized tribes, and to seek assistance from the Native American Rights Fund. (NARF).
